The 2018 A3C Festival & Conference: Wu-Tang & More

As usual, this year’s A3C Festival & Conference will feature performances by some of the biggest names in rap and R&B, fascinating discussions delving into all corners of the industry, and great networking. The A3C Conference takes place Wednesday, October 3rdthrough Friday, October 5th, while the A3C Festival’s concerts go down Saturday, October 6th and Sunday, October 7th.

No question the biggest buzz for this year’s A3C Festival revolves around the headlining Saturday performance by all members of the Wu-Tang Clan: a set by one of hip-hop’s greatest groups to mark the 25th anniversary of their seminal debut, Enter the Wu-Tang: 36 Chambers. It’s going to be incredible to see RZA, GZA, Ghostface Killah, Method Man, Raekwon, Inspectah Deck, Masta Killa, U-God, Cappadonna, and Mathematics take the stage, but the concert itself is only the climax of two days of “WuTangATL” events: from a one-on-one conversation with RZA at the Loudermilk Center to a film screening with Ghostface Killah at the Plaza Theatre, plus the opportunity for a private meet-and-greet with the group before they take the stage at the Georgia Freight Depot.

Another iconic rapper, Lil Wayne, headlines Sunday’s A3C Festival roster; other big-name performers include J.I.D., Talib Kweli, The Diplomats, and Trina.

This year’s A3C Conference, meanwhile, takes place at three hubs a stone’s throw from the Freight Depot: the Loudermilk Center, the Auburn Avenue Research Library, and Georgia State University’s Creative Media Industries Institute. It’ll be hosting participants ranging from Ethiopia Habtemariam, the president of Motown Records, and Steve Stoute, CEO and founder of UnitedMasters + Translation, to Rap-A-Lot Records CEO J. Prince and BOSSIP and BHM Digital Managing Editor Janee Bolden—plus RZA!
